Paper Batik samples in Cabriza, Arabesque, Jaipur, Tapestry, Jasmine & Ribbande patterns.  All have been hand-printed with vintage wooden stamps from India & Afghanistan & colored with hand-mixed watercolor tones such as Café au Lait, Sienna, Amber, Periwinkle and/or Turquoise.  Paper Batik is derived from an ancient dying process in which wax or resin is applied to the surface of fabric & patterns appear where the surface “resists” the dye. The colors/patterns shown here are examples of the limitless range of effects that can be achieved using this process.
